The latest news of Chris, Christa and Heidi Maier
With the recent "blizzard" the unexpected snow has brought some unexpected fun. We ran out and got some warm snow clothes both for
the time being and for our upcoming trip to Ontario. Chris couldn't resist getting a baby sled for Heidi. And, so, we went off to the park to try some taboganing. Heidi didn't really enjoy it. But we think it was more the cold. She would get upset whenever we would stop moving, but would settle down with some speed and movement. She even went down one of the hills on her own.
As promised here are some pictures of our newly crawling cuty. For the first couple of days she didn't really know that she could crawl and would be bewildered at how she got places. Now she is in full crawling mode. She can get places fairly quickly. She got used to being most places and we have subsequently installed some child barriers to places like the entrance that, because of our recent "blizzard" are covered in salt and melted snow. Unfortunately she remembers how much fun she used to have in there and is getting upset at her new restrictions.

Mom and Heidi went trick-or-treating this year. We decided to dress Heidi up in her swimming towel. This towel has a Monkey face, hands and tail. A couple of safety pins later and Heidi was a monkey. You can see her in this picture with her faithful monkey companion (Timmie - not Chris).

Starting last Thursday Heidi began eating solid food. By that I mean she is eating Pear Mush. She seems to like it, in small quantities, and she likes to share it with her chin, her bib and most everything around her.
